Activity 1: The Geographical Regions of Norfolk
Below is an outline map of the county of Norfolk. Either print out this page or save it to your own computer graphics package. The map in the book Exploring the Norfolk Village is printed in black and white. Design your own colour scheme to mark the principal geographic regions or 'pays' of the county and the key features of the underlying geology. The map in the introduction of the book will help with information. Mark you own home town or area on the map.
Which of the geographical regions do you live in? Use the book to find the key geographical features of the region? Add a brief description of your region to this sheet or to your computer based presentation.
If you are going to work with the map on the computer, can you take two or three digital photographs in your home region to illustrate the features you have read about, and add them to the map?
